NORGINE RECOGNISED FOR EXCELLENCE IN HEALTH AND SAFETY WITH RoSPA GOLD MEDAL AWARD FIFTH YEAR IN A ROW

AMSTERDAM, Netherlands, 19th June 2019, 10:00 CET. NORGINE B.V. was handed  a prestigious award in recognition of its practices and achievements in health and safety management systems, such as leadership and workforce involvement.

For five years consistently, Norgine has achieved a Gold Medal in the internationally-renowned RoSPA Health and Safety Awards, the longest-running industry awards scheme in the UK. Norgine’s manufacturing sites based in Hengoed, Wales and Dreux, France demonstrated exceptional performance in enabling their staff “get home safely at the end of every working day”.

Philippe Caroff, Chief Manufacturing Officer at Norgine commented, “The award demonstrates the common dynamic approach across our global manufacturing and our strong commitment to health and safety, enabling our staff to deliver transformative medicines that help patients around the world. The Norgine B.V. group is a fully integrated pharmaceutical business, with manufacturing in both Hengoed, Wales and Dreux, France, third party supply networks and significant product development capabilities, in addition to our sales and marketing infrastructure. This year we celebrated 50 years in Hengoed and we always look forward to continuous improvement and raising the standards in manufacturing excellence even more in the future.”

Norgine has been researching and manufacturing innovative medicines in Hengoed and Dreux since the 1960’s. Manufacturing takes place 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to supply medicines around the globe and every year Norgine helps around 23 million patients worldwide.

Julia Small, RoSPA’s Head of Qualifications, Awards and Events said, “The RoSPA Awards have become the key fixture in the health and safety calendar. Highly-respected, with almost 2,000 entrants every year, RoSPA award winners benefit from the wide-ranging rewards of improved sector reputation.”
